Outbound telemarketing is a violation of privacy and allows merchandisers and marketers far too much freedom over the consumers
There is absolutely NO reason why strangers should be able to call people they don't know and hawk their products to people who would go purchase them if they wanted them.
Most telemarketing calls are from scammers using unlawful techniques and the US Government provides ZERO protection to the citizens of this country. The National Do-Not Call Registry is a joke and totally ignored.
Ban and make unlawful ALL outbound telemarketing calls, regardless of customer relationship, and provide avenues of prosecution for violators!
