Outlaw banks from charging more then 6% interest for credit cards.

Created by L.P. on February 21, 2016

Their is currently no limit to how much banks can charge consumers for credit cards. The current average credit card interest rate is 21% for cash back credit cards, 14% for all other cards, and 30% penalty rate from the biggest issuers Citi & Chase. This is usury and takes advantage of the poorest people who have little money to begin with, and is the #1 cause of bankruptcy in the US. It costs the banks less then 1% to process the credit cards and merchants pay 1.5% or more when credit cards are used so there is no reason to charge more then 6%. The government shall put a limit of 6% interest on the use of credit cards and no more then 12% for overdue interest.
