Outlaw breed bans for dogs in military base housing.

Created by A.B. on July 10, 2013

There are no actual "dangerous" group of dog, as social behaviors of most dogs of all breeds are a learned behavior. Many families are having to re-home beloved family pets based solely on a physical characteristic, instead of on behavior. There are no dogs that are inherently human aggressive and the general public often confuses human aggression with high prey drive and dog aggression. Every dog is susceptible to being dog aggressive. There is plenty of research online that proves all of these facts. Breed bans fail to work as well. We need to educate and have better laws (including on base rules) that ensure the safety of everyone, regardless of the breed of dog. Our service members sacrifice so much already, let them keep ALL the members of their family together.
