Outlaw firearms ! On behalf of every victim, bystander, and family .

I start my petition on behalf of every innocent bystander, every child, mother, and human being who would be still gracing the face of this planet if not for a bullet. African Americans make up nearly 13% of the U.S. population, but in 2009 suffered over 54% of all firearm homicides. In fact, firearm homicide is the LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH for African Americans ages 1-44.
Sean Bell, Columbine High School, Virginia Tech University, Gabrielle Giffords, Trayvon Martin. We all know I could name more victims that were directly and indirectly touched and sadly most that can read this can attest to being affected by firearm violence.
I write this not as part of a constituency or agenda, but as a husband, father, and son. A human being who wants be able to wear a hood and walk into a Safeway.
