We petition the Obama Administration to outlaw or otherwise regulate kitchen knives. Many Americans are unaware that on December 14, 2012, the very same day of the Sandy Hook massacre, a man using a knife as a weapon attacked students at a school in central China, injuring 22 children and one adult. This incident was reported on CBS news. This is not an isolated incident. The CBS article goes on to state that in 2010, a total of 18 children were killed in four separate attacks.
Furthermore, we call for "knife-free zones" around schools and other public buildings, and criminal background checks on all purchases of sharp objects.
