Outlaw lobbying that is either paid for or where there is reimbursement of "expenses"

Created by J.W. on September 29, 2011

Purchased lobbying is used either to legally “buy” politicians or extort political support. In order to return power back to the people of the United States, the only lobbying that should be allowed is by citizens who are concerned enough to contact their representative. There is currently a lot of regulation about lobbying and none of it has had the desired effect of preventing special interests from directing legislative agendas. By removing the monetary incentive we can do away with all of the other lobbying rules.

Politicians from both major political parties have complained that the other side is beholden to special interest lobbyists. President Obama promised a White House free from the influence of lobbyists. This legislation would show the President is committed to the citizens.
