The process and the whole system of lobbyists. It is a lawful awful process allowing powerful and wealthy organizations to buy influence from elected politicians. These organizations buy votes from the politicians away from the electors who voted for the latter. It is unethical and anti-democratic. It should be criminal. In placing politicians in a position where they can legally bribed, it over-corrupts some/most politicians.
