The premise is that paid consultants of special interests sway politicians to vote their way. Only special interests hire lobbyists. They are very effective. So effective that they are paid BILLIONS of dollars each year to bend the ear of the politicians and provide special incentives to gain their cooperation. This is so rampant that they have even made movies about it. TAKE BACK OUR GOVERNMENT!
