outlaw mergers and acquisitions

Created by J.B. on October 28, 2011

Outlawing mergers and acquisitions would eliminate the tool for creating monopolies. If a company is failing then it should go out of business. If it is successful, then it should grow from its own merit. It is very difficult for consumers and the government to control the abuses of a huge conglomerate or a monopoly. Small businesses just cannot compete fairly with huge companies. Getting rid of mergers and acquisitions will allow new companies and new ideas to enter the system to compete. These big companies formed by mergers and acquisitions creates a "big bully" mentality in the corporation world. Simply, its just not fair. Furthermore, it would hopefully reduce the influence they have in the political world. People before corporations.
