We've got to stop all these meteors and asteroids. They're a menace to society. Not to mention the environment!
Today a rogue meteor attacked Russia--shattering windows, startling the livestock, and wreaking all manor of havoc. Who knows what they'll do tomorrow? We should expect better from our celestial "neighbors."
That's why I'm proposing a package of legislation and economic sanctions:
1) Establish a no-fly zone well past geostationary orbit. 26,200 miles up isn't good enough--my DirecTV satellite is up there! I'm talking 260,000 miles--way past the moon. Keep those cosmic evildoers out of our back yard.
2) Stop the flow of cash to rogue states, terrorist organizations, and mad scientists who may be luring meteors to earth with giant electromagnets. Enough is enough!
