The President has made the statement ""If there's even one life that can be saved, then we've got an obligation to try" In 2011, there were 8,583 gun related homicides in the United States, but 443,000 deaths annually related to tobacco. Believing the President to be a man of his word, and not simply a politician using current events for his own political agenda, we call on the President to take immediate and decisive action to outlaw the production and use of tobacco products. The use of tobacco is significantly more dangerous than assault weapons, and causes more direct harm to children.
