I make these requests for several reasons. The first being that most people are seriously misinformed as to the intoxicating effects of this substance. Alcohol, as well as most pharmaceuticals, are far more potent and dangerous. Another reason is that it could be taxed and used to help rebuild the economy. That's not to mention the medical and therapeutic properties. As to pre-employment drug testing, I believe that the right to privacy should include what we choose to eat, drink, or ingest for recreational purposes. Just because someone does something at home doesn't mean they would do it on the job. Drug testing for use within a shorter period of time, say a few hours, is reasonable but testing what someone has done in the last month is not.
