New voter Photo ID laws have been passed in some states like Pennsylvania and Florida. These laws were passed by Republican-controlled legislatures in a clear effort to suppress voter turn out and give an easier win to Republicans in the state. Many people cannot afford to get an official photo ID, and so are unable to vote in those states. Officials in states that have passed photo ID laws claim that the laws will help fight voter fraud, but in reality voter fraud is extremely rare. Strict voter photo ID laws are clear violations to our right as Americans to vote, and have even been put on review by federal courts. These laws cannot be allowed to exist, and action must be taken, so we ask you, Mr. President, to do something about it!
