Due to the wolf's delisting from the Endangered Species List, the states can make their own rules and regulations regarding the hunt of the wolf this season (2012-2013). Overall, in the United States, as of now, the wolf is in grave danger since most states are joining in the war against the wolf. Wolves are responsible for less than 1% of livestock killing, but are still be blamed for livestock loss. I would like to see a federal agency that oversees state's activity and hold each state accountable for all deaths of each wolf, including legal hunting. I believe if we do not watch closely, the number of wolves could come close to extinction. It is well-known that the wolf brings diversity to our lands with plant and animal life - it has a purpose on Earth.
