The electoral college is an antiquated system that is no longer needed and causes politicians to only campaign to states with the most electoral college votes. With this process, sometimes almost half a state's citizens' votes don't count because all the electoral college votes go to the winner of the state. Every vote should count and until every vote counts, we will continue to have a government that is not for, of and by the people.
