The current electoral college system for voting is incredibly out of date; it was devised during a time where the majority of the US was illiterate and unable to write. The founding fathers were unable to trust most people to make the right decision for themselves. Well we now live in a time of change, a time where we are all equal. Why should our votes not count the same? Society as a whole is informed, with technology helping to fill in the gaps. Every vote is important, and no single person should be able to influence the outcome of an entire state. But one person, nay; EVERY PERSON should be able to influence the election with their own weight.
