Close loopholes in the tax laws that allow for top earners and millionaires to pay fewer taxes then the middle class. Raising taxes on the rich only creates the illusion of increased revenue.
Don’t raise taxes on the rich, since there are too many loopholes in the tax law that primarily benefits the wealthy. With the current tax code and deductions the rich will continue to pay fewer taxes than those that earn less than $250,000. If taxes remain the same and if those loopholes are closed, that will increase revenues without increasing taxes.
It’s simple math, reduced deductions will increase revenue.
