Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of State (DoS) contractors returning from overseas should have the same rights and preferences as veterans if they served overseas for the same duration as a standard enlistment. While contractors receive inflated compensation they are still in harms way and spend more time in a "DANGER ZONE" than our troops do. They spend their entire time in harms way working 84 to 72 hours per week supporting our troops so they have earned the right for same preferences as they spend their entire time in harms way versus up to a one year rotation as our troops do. This should only include contractors that spend a minimum of 5 years of continual service.
