Millions of people rely on safe medications. The National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association recognizes there are dangers for people who consume medications that were developed in unsterile and unscrutinized, unstandardized manufacturing conditions. The U.S. Congress and FDA are the governing bodies for this oversight. The FDA has focused solely on new medications and ignored generic and compounded medications due to budget restraints. We strongly advocate for the expansion of the oversight responsibilities of the FDA to address this growing and significant problem.
