If you have a driver's license in any one of the 50 states in this great nation then it's virtually guaranteed that you've witnessed atrocious, unsafe driving at the hands of the elderly. It's no secret that as we get older, our senses fade and we lose dexterity. Given that fact; it's utterly absurd to not have a system in place assessing the capabilities of people that may be unfit to drive. Millions of Americans cars and lives are put at risk every day because of this flaw. I believe it'd be in everyone's best interest if people would be mandated to retake a driver's test every 5 years once they have reached the age of 65.
