We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Overtime tax credit for middle class americans who make less than $50,000/year prior to overtime wages.

Created by H.G. on November 09, 2016

Middle class hourly workers go above and beyond to keep this country running. For many overtime is not a choice due to the demands of their field and/or a lack of other competent or creditialed personell. These types of workers would include police, nurses, firefighters, factory workers, other types of first responders, and various other persons . These positions are not only jobs, for many they are a civic duty. Many sacrifice up to 1000 additional work hours per year to keep us going. We should give them a minor break. $5 per every hour overtime worked per year with a $5000 max. deduction. Let them know that the time they sacrafice from their lives and families to keep this country safe and productive is appreciated and not forgotten.
