Overturn Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission via Constitutional Amendment or Challenging the Supreme Court

Created by I.N. on June 03, 2014

In 2010, the Supreme Court ruled that unions and corporations could spend unlimited amounts of money in advocacy of or in opposition to political campaigns. As a result, any politician who hopes to seek reelection must subscribe to the agenda of moneyed corporate interests unless they wish to lose funding for advertising and be forgotten by the media and, by extension, the public. The ruling's flaws have fully manifested, too: according to a recent study done by Princeton, decisions in the US are driven by the will of a small number of wealthy elite.
The solution is plain: overturn the Court's 2010 ruling soon and by whatever means possible. Without these limits, our government will continue down the path of corruption. Sign this petition to return our country to the hands of the people.
