We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Overturn court decision on Concealed Carry

Created by M.Z. on June 10, 2016

We the people would like to petition that the recent decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on concealed carry be overturned. On June 9, 2016, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals greatly misinterpreted the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution by ruling that we, as Americans, do not have a guaranteed right to carry concealed firearms in public. The 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." This ruling directly contradicts the 2nd Amendment by stating that we do not have a guaranteed right to carry concealed firearms in public. This ruling amounts to prohibiting people from carrying guns which is unconstitutional.
