Overturn The Jones Act, aka Merchant Marine Act of 1920, it hurts many Americans, as well it hurts the economy.

Created by K.T. on April 26, 2014

Created for what was supposed to help maritime commerce throughout the United Stares it has also hurt the state economies of primarily Hawaii and Alaska. By removing it it would boost the economy across the US, and bring down the cost of living in many states. The amount of jobs that it would create from costs being cut would be enormous and make it much more affordable for Americans and make it easier for us to compete internationally for manufacturing costs.
