In June 2013, Charles Pair, Jr was convicted of aggravated sexual assault with absolutely no physical evidence to substantiate the claim. The jury took a mere 45 minutes to return with a verdict, despite the complete lack of proof. He was given two life sentences. To add insult to injury, the Young County district attorney's office in Graham, Texas, had waited nearly four years after the initial charge (2009) to add a second charge that the former DA had forgotten to file. A charge of which there was no evidence. This jury chose to convict a hispanic man of sexually assaulting his stepdaughter, despite there being no physical evidence and gaping inconsistencies in the victim and witnesses' testimony. Because of this, Charles missed the birth of his first child. He deserves a new trial.
