Roe v. Wade was passed to allow women to abort their fetuses. However, if anyone murders a pregnant woman, they are charged with two counts of murder. Many of us have seen news reports of mothers killing their own children from time to time, and we are outraged at this; at the same time, so many others keep quiet about abortion or support it.
A fetus's heartbeat does not start until 18 to 22 days of conception, therefore, I propose abortion be illegalized and the mother charged with first-degree murder if she aborts her baby. As such, the establishment of Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics will no longer be necessary and should be closed for good.
