Overturn Virginia State Law in regards to the expungement or sealing of criminal records.

Created by R.H. on November 15, 2012

PLEASE HELP TO OVERTURN THE VIRGINIA EXPUNGEMENT LAW. Virgina State Law currently does not allow the expunging or sealing of criminal records. This law does not allow for rehabilitation in any way and makes it difficult for anyone that has ever committed a non-violent crime to find employment. This is the only state that dictates that criminal records cannot be sealed. A statute of limitations should at least be placed on crimes of a non-violent nature for employers seeking background information on potential employees.
