PARDON all citizens prosecuted by DOJ for the consumption or distribution of MEDICAL MARIJUANA

Created by M.S. on January 21, 2014

President Obama recently asserted that consuming cannabis is less dangerous than drinking alcohol. This statement reveals an hypocrisy in that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has averaged 36 medical marijuana prosecutions per year since 2009 - resulting in sentences collectively adding to nearly 500 years in prison for medical marijuana offenses - according to a survey of court records by Cal NORML.
If the President agrees that alcohol is more dangerous than cannabis, he should pressure the DOJ to halt prosecutions for medical marijuana offenses and pardon any citizens who have been prosecuted under this hypocritical policy.
