Billions of dollars have been wasted annually for decades by prosecuting and incarcerating persons who use, grow, or sell cannabis. The vast majority of these "criminals" are peaceful and harmless persons who wish to contribute to society and live their lives within the law. Our criminal justice system should be used against criminals who victimize society, not patients, recreational users, or merchants.
Mr. President, please issue a blanket pardon for all violations of federal marijuana laws.
