Sister Megan Rice, Michael Walli, and Greg Boertje-Obed broke into the nuclear facility at Oak Ridge, TN June 2012 as a form of civil disobedience and protest.
They did minimum damage and did not resist arrest.
They were convicted.
Sister Megan, 84, was sentenced to 35 months. Mr. Walli and Mr. Boertje-Obed received sentences of 62 months each.
These three Americans acted in the best interest of America by vividly demonstrating the lax security around our nation's nuclear facilities. And for that they go to prison?
This was a non-violent act of civil disobedience. Minimum damage. Did not resist arrest.
And yet, they are sentenced to spend years with drug offenders and perpetrators of violent crimes.
Right.
President Obama should immediately issue full pardons to all three.
