It is unfair to "destroy" a teenagers life by saddling him/her with a felony drug conviction for a first time offense. The over zealous district attorney's and judges whose intention is to make a name for themselves for reelection purposes on the future and lifes of teens who make a "mistake" in judgement is criminal.
These unwarranted convictions prevent teens who made a mistake from getting decent employment, attending institutions of higher learning, receiving financial aid, and having any type of quality life.
This unnecessary practice of "ruining" teens lifes for personal gain is undemocractic and a clear violation of a teens right to live the american dream.
