Osceola was a man who lived his live in service to his people.
He was a man devoted to his family.
His reputation as one of the greatest freedom fighters in history is well established and credentialed.
His demise came when he met with the United States Army, seeking a peace treaty while under a flag of truce, and he was arrested and marched to the prison, Fort Marion, now the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument Park, in St. Augustine.
The name Osceola lives on as the name of towns, counties, roads, schools, and a national forest.
His spirit needs to be healed by the hand of the nation that broke it.
Freeing Billy Powell, Osceola, will lift more than one soul.
500 Nations and Tribes will be lifted as well.
The anniversary of the arrest of Billy Powell, Osceola, is October 21.
Thank you
