Pardon the Black Cat from it's urban myth of projecting bad luck

For 1000's of years the black cat has received a bad image and has been ridiculed and associated with bad luck. These myth's are preposterous and unfounded. Many people today shutter at the sight of a black cat passing in their path. We all know that the black cat means no harm and is only on his way to get somewhere. The exploitation and marketing of black cats around Halloween and faux events like Friday the 13th needs to end. Statistics have shown that black cats are less likely to be adopted at animal rescues A petition needs to move forward to clear the way for all black cats to be pardoned from these historically inaccurate allegations.
