For hundreds of years the black cat has received a bad image and has been ridiculed and associated with bad luck. These myths are preposterous and unfounded. Many people today shudder at the sight of a black cat crossing their path. We all know the black cat means no harm and is only on his way to get somewhere. The exploitation and marketing of black cats around Halloween and faux events like Friday the 13th needs to end. Statistics have shown that black cats are less likely to be adopted at animal rescues. A petition needs to move forward to clear the way for all black cats to be pardoned from these historically inaccurate allegations.
We need your help! Friday May,13th is coming. Let’s get this petition signed to before then so the black cat can be cleared of this unfair stereotype!
