Pardon Cecily McMillan of all her assault charges against NYPD Officer Grantley Bovell.

Created by D.M. on May 05, 2014

During the Occupy Wall Street Movement in the Spring of 2012, Cecily McMillan was sexually assaulted NYPD Officer Grantley Bovell and as a reflexive response, she incidentally elbowed him and as result was violently detained, receiving multiple cuts, bruises, bruised ribs and suffering a seizure that lasted approximately seven minutes. On May 5th, 2014, the 25 year-old McMillan was unjustly sentenced to a maximum of seven years in prison. Justice was not served today. The NYPD and Officer Bovell walked free and a young lady is facing a very long time in prison for a crime that she is not at fault. Another victim of the seemingly endless cycle of police brutality on the wrong side of justice. Please sign this petition and plead to President Obama to pardon Cecily McMillan.
