President Obama, you promised you would protect whistle blowers and you are not keeping your promise.
We understand that Pvt. Manning was in military service when she released information regarding Iraq, however, that release caused no provable deaths nor cost the military or the U. S. government anything but embarrassment.
If my government's, well deserved, embarrassment is to cost 35 years of anyone's life, let it be those who COMMITTED the embarrassing acts, not the one who exposed them, after the fact.
Pvt. Manning is being kept in solitary confinement which has been proven to constitute cruel and unusual punishment. Her mental condition is, obviously, deteriorating and she has attempted suicide only to be punished further for it.
This can not be allowed to occur in a "free" country.
