We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Pardon Chelsea Manning and release her immediately from military custody

Created by C.D. on July 30, 2016

Private Chelsea Manning is serving a 35-year sentence for making unauthorized disclosures of classified material. It is a matter of record she was tortured by U.S. military personnel prior to her trial. The military have continued to obstruct her efforts to obtain necessary medical care while in their custody at Fort Leavenworth and--following her recent suicide attempt--are considering filing *new* charges against her.

Since the military has repeatedly demonstrated by its actions that it intends to torture Ms. Manning until she dies in violation of the Eighth Amendment and the Uniform Code of Military Justice, it is past time for the administration to grant her a full Pardon and order her release.
