In December of 2012, Deric Lostutter hacked a website, exposing the crimes of people who raped an underage girl, in an attempt to see that justice is served. The rapists have destroyed the girl's psyche, causing mental trauma that will affect her indefinitely. Despite Mr. Lostutter's noble desire to stand for what is right, he faces a significant prison sentence while the rapists are able to roam free after only a short time in a juvenile detention facility.
It is our view that these atrocious events ought to be rectified immediately. While we acknowledge that Lostutter broke the law, his motives for doing so were vastly different than those of the rapists. There will be no justice for the victim of this horrendous crime until Lostutter is pardoned, and the true criminals are behind bars.
