Don Siegelman, formerly governor of Alabama, was unjustly accused and convicted in 2007, in what has been called one of the most egregiously bad faith prosecutions ever undertaken by the Department of Justice.
We must reject the concept of a political prosecution in this country, and free a man whose only offense was participation in the political process on the "wrong" side.
We the undersigned call on President Obama to immediately grant a full pardon to Don Siegelman.
