We appeal to you as believers in God, whose purpose in life is to worship Him alone; as leaders, whose mission is to uphold justice in the country you serve; and as human beings whose mercy compels them to relieve the suffering of a fellow human being. We appeal to you to pardon Dr Aafia Siddiqi who has received an eighty-six year sentence for an unproven crime in which she alone was injured. We are all heirs to the legacy of Prophet Moses’ (pbuh) mother. Who can forget the sacrifice of that mother and her exemplary patience? We put our trust in God Almighty first then in you to reunite this desperate mother with her children and leave a legacy of compassion for future generations.
