pardon Dr. Shakir Hamoodi.

Created by J.O. on September 28, 2012

Dr. Shakir Mahoodi has been convicted of violating US sanctions against Iraq for sending humanitarian aid to a small number of Iraqis. This aid in no way supported the regime of Saddam Hussein, but only eased the suffering of a few of his victims. Pardoning Dr. Hamoodi would be an act of mercy toward a man who is imprisoned only for his own spirit of mercy.
