This petition is to urge President Obama to pardon Edward Snowden and allow him back into the United States.
The Supreme Court ruled in Ex parte Garland that the President has the power to pardon every offense known to the law at any time including a time before legal proceedings are taken.
Edward Snowden's actions were to inform the citizens of the United States of the secret and questionable actions being taken by the federal government against our inalienable Fourth Amendment rights to privacy and unreasonable search.
A pardon would be a step in the right direction to restoring the people's faith in government; letting the people know there are no grey areas of the law when it comes to our constitutional protections and that those who seek to inform the people are also protected.
