to pardon former Army SPC Adam Meckler who unintentionally violated the gun laws of Washington D.C.

Created by E.C. on January 02, 2013

Army veteran Adam Meckler was arrested because he had been found to have possession of a few rounds of ammunition, but no weapon, he had forgotten about in a backpack.

This veteran of the Iraq war plead guilty to the charges in order to avoid a lengthy/costly trial. Mr. Meckler now has a criminal record and is a registered gun law offender in the district. Because of the ordeal he went through the city council passed a law making similar offenses a civil, rather than criminal matter as long as the offender was unaware of the violation.

NBC news anchor David Gregory knowingly violated the same gun law in the district, yet he has not faced any consequences for his actions.

Either pardon Meckler or criminally (because he knew) charge David Gregory. No special treatment of journalists.
