Gov Siegelam of Albama was prosecuted due to influence of karl Rove. He was convicted of something about accepting a campaign contribute for someone who he later appointed to a non-paying council or comission. That is commonplace and not illegal. All you would have to do Mr. President is direct your justice department not to pursue the prosecution. Karl Rove already achieved his goal of driving the man out of his governorship.
