Pardon George Hitcho, Jr., who has been sentenced to death in Pennsylvania for defending his family from a home invasion

George Hitcho, Jr.'s home was invaded by police officers, who pointed firearms at Hitcho and his family, and threatened to murder his dogs. Hitcho acted in defense of his property and his family, shooting and killing Officer Robert Lasso. Officer Lasso was invading Hitcho's home and threatening his family with lethal violence at the time of the shooting. Hitcho's actons were clearly justifiable homicide, and not first-degree murder. They were voluntary manslaughter, at worst. His actions do not warrant a death sentence, and we petition President Obama to offer him a full pardon, or at least reduce his sentence to one commensurate with his actions, if they are found to be criminally reckless.
