Pardon Howard Morgan wrongly convicted 40 years for a crime he did not commit.

Created by P.L. on April 03, 2013

Howard Morgan was a 13 year veteran with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad Police. He was a former police officer with an exemplary record and no criminal record.
On the morning of February 21, 2005, Howard was pulled over for a minor traffic violation, forced from his vehicle and shot 28 times (21 in the back). Four white officers claim that Morgan shot at them. An eyewitness confirmed that Howard Morgan never discharged his weapon. No evidence of gun residue was ever found on Morgan. Evidence, including the van Morgan drove was impounded and destroyed. No motive for his shooting was ever established.

Yet after two trials rife with legal error and factual inconsistencies, Morgan was sentenced to 40 years for a crime he did not commit. Please investigate and acquit.
