Jonathan Pollard was given an unjustly long sentence for spying for a country the United States has had an extremely close relationship with for a long time. Other people have been convicted of spying for countries the US doesn’t have a close relationship with (or were enemies at the time of the spying). However, their sentences were much shorter. I think it is time that Mr. Pollard is pardoned and his sentence commuted to time served. I’m not condoning what he did; I just disagree with the sentence his was given.
