Pardon Jordan Wiser, the Ohio teen facing felony charges for having a knife in his EMT kit

Created by E.W. on March 12, 2014

According to the Huffington Post, Jordan Wiser is facing felony weapons charges because of a pocket knife he purchased at K-Mart that was in his EMT kit.

Jordan was taking firefighter and paramedic courses at Ashtabula County Technical and Career Campus in preparation for a career as a first responder or in the military.

Prosecutor Harold Specht, who is trying to be elected as a county judge, charged Jordan with a felony for a four-inch folding blade that was part of his paramedic kit.

As a result, he spent 13 days in jail, cannot visit his dying grandfather and will likely be barred from his chosen career path.

Please help Jordan, who doesn't deserve a lifetime punishment for a small lapse in judgement.
