Leonard Peltier is innocent. Amnesty International has characterized his trial as unfair. He is a political prisoner. He is also over 70 years of age now and in increasingly poor health. He deserves to be free before his life ends.
The President, if he truly cares as much about human rights as he repeatedly claims, must pardon Peltier.
