Leonard Peltier has been in prison since 1975 for killing two FBI agents. When the FBI found out that AIM (American Indian Movement) was holed up at the Jumping Bull Ranch on Pine Ridge Sioux Reservation in South Dakota, agents Ron Williams and Jack Coler went to arrest the unknown person who stole a pair of cowboy boots from a local rancher (really, the FBI went after a thief who stole a pair of boots) The FBI lied many times in his trial and to get him extradited. Almost all Gov't witnesses said they were coerced into lying. 85% of defense evidence and testimony was thrown out by the gov't judge, Prosecution experts have admitted that they lied. Federal Judges who have reviewed his case have supported clemency for Leonard and he is a six-time nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize.
